Feedback – The Most Important Part Of Your Training
In any sport whether training for cycling or other endevours feedback is th key to improvement. With no feedback much of your energy and effort may be wasted as you won’t know where you’re getting the best results from. Put simpy you can’t manage what your can’t measure so when training it is vital that you put a system in place so know where you are and how that compares to last week or last month.
This will allow to refine your training and get the best results. It has an added advantage in that as you track your progress you’ll be more highly motivated to train more – and no doubt see even more improvement as a result. Successful professionals in any field live on feedback as they know that this is the one thing that can take them to the next level – this is especially true of athletes. Feedback over time in your training is like having a map – you can see where you’ve been, the obstacles you’ve over come and make plans about where your heaing. If you have no feedback system then you may well be running, or riding, in circles with your training and not ever moving forward.

If you’re cycling training, on a bike trainer for example, you can use some bike software that logs your rides and compare your effort and regularity to resting heart rate, body fat percentage and other fitness factors. There is software like this for all kinds of sports which can provide an easy and cheap way for anyone to establish the feedback they need to get better.
However you do it – get a system that gives you feedback and watch your results improve. This will motivate you and your fitness and ability will skyrocket.
